I am happy to welcome you in the capital of the Siberian Federal District – the city of Novosibirsk, at one of the most modern exhibition venues of the Russian Federation. Novosibirsk is rightly considered one of the country's main scientific and business centres, with Russia's major extractive companies located within a maximum two-hour flight. We are honoured to host the forum-exhibition of equipment and technologies for the mining and mineral processing industry in our city and at our venue.

It is my pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Akadempark – a vast community of high-tech innovation businesses. Our residents rely on the fundamental competences of researchers from the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and practically act as a bridge linking big science and high-tech manufacturing business.

We have witnessed a very interesting period in the development of the extractive industry. Construction and modernisation of enterprises are in full swing.
